A few weeks ago I was hiking in along Nine Mile Run in Frick Park, and we came across a small stand of gray-headed coneflower (Ratibida pinnata).  This species until recently was thought to be extirpated in Pennsylvania when it was rediscovered in the southwestern corner of the state, and consequently, its status was changed to Endangered.
